When there’s heavy lifting to do and the weight of the load is heavier than your employees are capable of maneuvering, different types of moving skates can be beneficial. Heavy-duty skates can be placed under large equipment to guide them along smooth paths.
Once the skates are in place, moving the large loads becomes completely possible. Moving skates are able to move a variety of equipment, and they eliminate the need for total disassembly of sizable equipment in order to move them. When the skates are on, the large materials can easily be moved from one place to another. If you are looking to lighten the load for your workplace processes, there are a number of moving skates to choose from.
Machinery Skates
Hevi-Haul machinery skates are made to navigate many different types of heavy loads under a wide variety of conditions. Load size, weight, and the workplace pathway are all taken into consideration in deciding which skate will meet your job requirements. There are three categories of machinery skates to choose from.
Utility Skates
Utility skates are extremely versatile machinery moving dollies. The wide stance of this skate increases stability and weight distribution. These skates are available in tilting and non-tilting, depending on your moving needs. The weight capacity of utility moving skates ranges from 1.5 tons to 37.5 tons per skate.
Straight Line Skates
As their name suggests, straight line skates are your go-to for straight-line moving. The skates’ steel frame provides durability and unmatched quality. Straight-line skates are available in slim, short, and long. The weight capacity of these skates ranges from 2.5 tons to 100 tons per skate.
Compact Swivel Skates
With a ton of moving capabilities in one small package, compact swivel skates are ideal for light to medium-duty loads that require full directional control. These skates are available individually as well as in kits with steel job boxes and placement handles. The weight capacity of compact swivel skates ranges from 1.5 tons to 12.5 tons per skate.
Structural Moving Skates
Structural moving skates are used for the intricate task of rolling an existing building or structure off its foundation, and onto extremely large truck dollies, in whole, or in part, to another location. These skates have been relied on for decades to aid in essential moves. Structural skates are available in two styles, house and building skates, and beam roller skates.
House and Building Skates
These structural moving skates allow you to move in any direction on either axis. The skates can also be split into two halves for single-axis movement. The weight capacity ranges from 25 tons to 100 tons per skate.
