We were contacted by an oil and gas company in the middle east for dollies that could accommodate supporting and moving various diameters of oil pipe across hundreds of skates for a very large infrastructure project. Working directly with the client, our engineering team came up with two solutions for two different applications. This particular oil pipeline dolly can handle pipeline 30″ Ø up to 60″ Ø. Both skates are modified version of our model CS-25-P and can hold 10 tons (20,000 pounds) of weight each. The skates used together as part of the assembly shown above can handle an overall capacity of 20 tons (40,000 pounds). These roller dollies can tilt forward and backward +/- 7º and have a working tilt range of 20º to accommodate the pipe. On these custom roller dollies we used our standard non-marking polyurethane coated rollers to protect the pipe.
